PC PC-6710奇美--Although the comprehensive properties of PC are good, some defects of PC, such as easy to produce stress cracking, sensitive to notch, poor wear resistance and poor processing fluidity, need to be further improved. With the extension of aging time, the Tg of PC appears a small peak similar to the first-order transformation, which is usually called the abnormal specific heat peak. There may be two reasons for the appearance of the abnormal specific heat peak: (1) the stress relaxation occurs when the frozen strain PC reaches TG; (2) the PC is annealed near TG, so its free volume changes greatly near TG. PC is very sensitive to micro notch, so once these micro cracks are formed, the notched impact strength and elongation at break of PC samples will be greatly reduced, and the toughness of PC will be seriously damaged, which may be the main reason for the sharp decline of notched impact strength and elongation at break of PC after aging.
