The addition of glass fiber additive can reduce the shrinkage to 0.3% (but it is slightly higher in the direction perpendicular to the process). The shrinkage of molding assembly is mainly affected by crystallinity and hygroscopicity. The actual shrinkage is also a function of plastic design, wall thickness and other process parameters
