Properties：lt is colorless hexagonal ，odorless and tasteless crysteless crystal with relative density 2. ishygroscopic. It is soluble in ether，insoluble in alcohol.The solubility in acid is greater than in decomposes in alkaline solution and produces sodium fluoride and silicon is decomposed to sodium fluoride and silicon tetrafluoride by heating to300℃.It is toxic.
Usages：Fluorspar is the main primary source of fluorine and its compds.ln ferrous metallurgy it is used as a flux to increase the fluidity of the slag The steelindustry is the largest c***umer；the chemicalindustry，second and ceramics，third. Synthetic fluorspar is used in the opticalindustry（tran***its u .v.rays），ed to fluoridate drinking water.
