The UPD720231 is USB3.0 to SATA3 Bridge controller, which complies with Universal Serial Bus revision 3.0 (USB3.0) and Serial ATA (SATA) Specification revision 3.0. The controller supports UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) protocol that significantly speeds up data throughput for large volumes of data. Free of charge UASP driver is ***ailable from Renesas.
With supporting ATAPI command, UPD720231 is also ***ailable for optical disk drives, like BD/DVD.The UPD720231 is provided in a 48-pin QFN package, incorporates two voltage regulators and power-on-reset circuit, which contribute to miniaturization of the end products
