这种准停装置如图6. 6所示，它利用装在主轴上的磁性传感器作为位置反馈元件，由其输出信号，使主轴准确停在规***置上。此种装置不需要机械部件，可靠性高，准停时间短，只需简单的强电顺序控制，且有较高的精度和刚性，是目前加工中心普遍采用的电控准停装置。
在传动主轴旋转的塔轮1的端面上装有一个原垫片4，垫片上又装有一个体积很小的***磁铁3。在主轴箱箱体对应于主轴准停的位置上，装有磁传感器2。当数控冲床需要停车换刀时，数控装置发出主轴停转指令，主轴电动机立即降速，在主轴5以***低转速慢转很少几转后，***磁铁3对准磁传感器2时，后者发出准停信号。此信号经放大后，由定向电路控制主轴电动机准确地停止在规定的周向位置上。
