设计导热油在管内的一定的流速，又不至于由于局部过热而结焦，一般辐射段管采用2~4m/s的流速，对流段管采用1.5~2.5m/s的流速。确定这一参数时还应顾及管内的热油阻力和保证热油在管内成湍流活动的因素。管径大，流速则高；管径小，流速则应低一些。
