自吸泵就是泵在启动前无需加引水或抽真空（***次开机前应灌满水），启动后经短暂时间运转，依靠泵本身的作用，把水吸上来并正常运行的一种泵。自吸泵的主要水力元件叶轮和泵壳与一般离心泵相似，泵腔内增加了储液室和气水分离室。WFB型无密封自吸泵，无密封应该为副叶轮动力密封，又称为流体动力密封。它可以克服填料密封及机械密封的某些不足，可以确保无泄漏。无密封自控自吸泵，具有耐温耐压、“一次引流”、“终生自吸”等多种功能。目前生产321、304、316、316L、A3、PP、F46（增强聚丙烯）等多种材质的系列整机，五种不同造型共一千余种规格。
