P-VIP Replacement Lamps
Use only original lamps
If a lamp from a different manufacturer is used inside a projector system designed for P-VIP systems, many quality issues can result. Likely issues in OSRAM’s experience include the wrong cooling setup (possible results are shattering, a short life, lumen decay), wrong driving mode (possible results are a short life, lumen decay, flickering, wrong colours, shattering) and wrong ignition parameters (possible result is no ignition). Issues related to other parts of the projector system (e.g. electronics) can also not be excluded.
***ailability of P-VIP replacement lamps
P-VIP lamps h***e to be adapted (caged) for their application inside the projector. Therefore OSRAM does not supply replacement lamps directly. Replacement lamps can be obtained via OEM or master distributors.
